President Joe Biden holds Iran responsible for the drone attack in Jordan|@POTUS|X

Iran-backed militia in Iraq, Kataib Hezbollah, suspected of involvement in the drone attack that killed three American troops, announced Tuesday that it’s halting attacks on US forces in Iraq and Syria.

The group stated that the move aims to prevent hostile American action.

The temporary pause came as President Joe Biden vowed the US would respond to the drone attack but underscored reluctance to engage in a broader Middle East conflict.

However, the Pentagon maintains that the militia’s announcement will not deter plans to retaliate for the drone strike that targeted the US outpost.

Diplomatic maneuvers
Iraq’s PM is seeking de-escalation, engaging in talks with the US commanders on future military presence in the region.

Simultaneously, Iran issues a stark warning against strikes on its territory or interests, adding complexity to the already delicate situation.
