President Donald Trump demanded unconditional surrender from Tehran in a Truth Social post amid escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.
He further said, “We know exactly where the so-called 'Supreme Leader' is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there - We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now.”
Early Wednesday, Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared on social media that “The battle begins.”
The attacks have damaged multiple buildings in Iran, forcing many residents to flee Tehran. Israel, in turn, issued evacuation warnings for several districts.
In a historic move, Israel shut down its airspace for the first time since its founding, stranding over 100,000 citizens abroad.
Some are now returning via boats through Jordan, Egypt, and Cyprus. Limited flights for medical and security staff are expected to resume today, but a full reopening remains uncertain.
