The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently cleared Zyn nicotine pouches for sale. The agency found it to be a safer alternative for adult smokers as health experts determined that pouches pose a lower risk of cancer than cigarettes.

It is the first time the department okayed nicotine pouches (the fastest-growing segment of the US tobacco market), allowing 10 flavors to remain in the market.

However, the federal authority has introduced new restrictions for advertising, stating that the ads target adults aged 21 and over.
