The Dow Jones Industrial Average took a big hit on Wall Street’s worst day of the year, just a day after the Financial District’s triumph on Wednesday following the Fed’s interest rate hike announcement.
Wall Street’s stocks saw a drastic plunge Thursday, taking the entire US stock market with it.
Dow Jones dropped over 1,063 points or 3.1%.
The S&P 500 fell 3.6%, with more than 95% of the companies listed in the red.
Nasdaq saw the worst fall as the tech-heavy index dropped even more sharply, closing almost 5% lower.
The stock plunge did not leave the world’s greatest multinational companies unbothered.
Meta dropped nearly 6.8%, Amazon fell 7.6%, and Alphabet plunged 4.7%.
