Georgia Governor Brian Kemp triumphs at the Republican Primary nomination Tuesday, defeating the Trump-backed US former Senator David Perdue.

The Governor and Former President
The Governor’s relationship with Former President Donald Trump turned sour after Kemp declined to overturn the 2020 Presidential election results, making Joe Biden the first Democratic candidate to win in Georgia after decades.

The face-off
Governor Kemp will face Democrat Stacey Abrams in the re-election on November 8—a rematch of the 2018 race in which Abrams lost to Kemp by less than 55,000 votes.
