The historic confirmation hearing for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson for Supreme Court will start today and will go on for four days, till Thursday.
The nominee will be facing a committee of 11 Democrats and 11 Republicans.
Judge Jackson, who is already serving the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit, is a few steps closer to becoming the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court.
President Joe Biden nominated Brown to fill Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer's seat when he retires this summer.
There is considerable support for Biden’s nominee to get selected for the Supreme Court amid questions about her past works that include her defense for prisoners in Guantanamo Bay.
