As fighting intensified in Donbas, Ukraine dismissed any ceasefire deals that included giving up their territory to Russia.
The concern is rising in Ukraine as the remaining troops in the Azovstal steel plant were taken prisoner by Russia. President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his nightly address, "The situation in Donbas is extremely difficult."
He also insisted that the war would only end through "diplomacy" and Ukraine would not accept any deals with Moscow that would involve surrendering territory.
A visit from Poland
The Polish President, Andrzej Duda became the first foreign leader to give a speech in the Ukrainian parliament since the invasion.
President Duda expressed it as an honor to speak in the legislation saying, “Despite the great destruction, despite the terrible crimes, the great suffering that the Ukrainian nation experiences every day, the Russian invaders did not break you, they did not manage to do it and I believe deeply that they will never succeed.”
The leaders also agreed to work on joint border control and a shared railway company to ease the movement of civilians and increase export potential.
