Facebook parent company Meta is planning to open its first retail store—a place dedicated to selling the tech giant’s hardware. The store will open on May 9, on the company’s campus in Burlingame, California.
Meta store: What to expect?
The Meta store will likely offer product demos for its gadgets, including the Portal Plus smart-home hubs, Ray-Ban Stories smart glasses and Quest 2 virtual reality headsets. Customers can also purchase some devices and accessories.
Meta has also confirmed that it will add a shopping tab to the meta.com website—a one-stop-shop to buy all the company’s hardware online.
Metaverse is gaining popularity over time with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg previously addressing it as the future of online connectivity.
