Microsoft Unveils Tablet-Friendly Taskbar

Microsoft has begun testing a redesigned taskbar optimized for tablet use. The modified taskbar will showcase a ‘collapsed’ mode that displays essential information such as the time, date, network, and battery status. The new tablet taskbar appears to be far less bestrewed, with a new feature that automatically hides the taskbar, providing additional screen space for Windows 11 tablet users. According to reports, the collapsed mode will only display essential status symbols, while the expanded state will provide room for further touch interactions.
