Confirmation hearings for the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson will begin on March 21. Jackson, President Biden’s judge of choice for the coveted position, is all set to become the first African-American woman to be nominated to the Supreme Court. With Democratic leaders preparing to reach a final Senate vote by April 8, Illinois Senator Dick Durbin said that there was no reason to “wait on this” and that he expects Judge Jackson’s hearing to be “fair, timely, and professional.”
