Though the US Rep. from North Carolina, Madison Cawthorn, acknowledges the latest 28-second video that shows him nude and performing acts with another person as authentic, the Republicans stand against him.
Apart from the video, the fall-out is a result of a string of episodes that made the top Republican in the House of Representatives and Rep. Kevin McCarthy move away from Cawthorn.
"It isn't any one thing. It's the totality," says North Carolina US Senator Tom Tillis.

- Claiming to get an invite to cocaine-fuelled Washington sex orgy.
Cawthorn’s response
Taking to Twitter, Cawthorn says the video was taken years ago and has slammed it as “blackmail”. The 26-year old novice also says, “I was being crass” on the social media platform.
