Ohio’s Issue 1 ballot measure guaranteeing the right to abortion and other reproductive care up until fetal viability (about 23 or 24 weeks) won approval from Ohio voters on Tuesday.
Laws banning abortion once a fetal heartbeat is detected (usually at six weeks) won’t stand in the state.
The result likely bolsters Democrat’s hopes that abortion rights is an important issue among voters.
A great night for Democrats
