President Joe Biden pardoned nearly 2,500 nonviolent drug offenders Friday
In the last few days as the President of the United States, Joe Biden has been busy. Yesterday, he said the 28th Amendment should be considered a ratified addition to the Constitution.
“The Equal Rights Amendment is the law of the land now,” Biden said.
Supporters argue the amendment is crucial for preventing sexual discrimination and ensuring equal pay for women, while opponents contend its constitutional inclusion timeline has passed and it’s now unnecessary.
He also pardoned nearly 2,500 nonviolent drug offenders.
Both the announcements came three days before his term ends.
