President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump faced each other in the first presidential debate of the election season yesterday, clashing over issues including inflation, abortion rights, immigration and foreign policies.

The evening left Republicans feeling way better than Democrats. The debate saw 81-year-old Biden display a low vocal range. At times, he struggled to make clear and concise arguments, which was mocked by 78-year-old Trump.

Meanwhile, Trump continued with his falsehoods, stating that the 2020 election results were rigged and that the January 6 attack on Capitol Hill was by a small group of people.

Biden and Trump also took personal swings at each other. The former president was accused of having an affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels, while Biden’s son Hunter’s recent conviction on gun possession charges was criticized, too.

It was the first time that Biden and Trump had debated since 2020 and the first time ever that a sitting president and a former president debated.
