Billionaire Elon Musk announced he is offering a $1 million daily prize until November 5 in a lottery to a registered voter in key swing states like Pennsylvania, Georgia and Michigan who signs his petition supporting free speech and gun rights.
Anyone who signs his petition can enter the lottery. If someone convinces others to sign, they can earn $47 per person, and voters in Pennsylvania can even get $100 for signing. One man has already won $1 million at a PA rally.
But the situation is raising legal questions.
Some experts believe Musk might be breaking the law. Offering people money to vote or to register to vote is prohibited under federal law.
The Tesla and SpaceX founder has given over $75 million through his super PAC to help Donald Trump.
