President Donald Trump, on Saturday, suggested relocating over 1 million Palestinians from the devastated Gaza to Jordan and Egypt.

Jordan, Egypt and Palestinians rejected the idea, emphasizing that forced displacement would destabilize the area.

Trump, who has suggested rebuilding Gaza, said the housing could be temporary or long-term.

His comments mark a break from decades of US policy supporting a two-state solution.

Human rights groups and Palestinian communities continue to reject any form of displacement, calling it ethnic cleansing, stressing their commitment to staying on their land.
