Tesla CEO Elon Musk, along with biotech entrepreneur and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, will lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), President-elect Donald Trump announced yesterday.
DOGE aims to cut government spending, reduce regulations, and streamline federal agencies. It will work outside the federal government and collaborate with the White House’s budget office.
Among other appointments, Trump chose Army veteran and Fox News host Pete Hegseth as secretary of defense and former intelligence official John Ratcliffe to lead the CIA.
