China is the hardest hit with 104% duty on goods coming into the country

President Donald Trump’s reciprocal tariffs took effect early Wednesday,  targeting imports from 86 countries and escalating global trade tensions.

The hardest hit is China, with a 104% duty on goods coming into the country. It includes the earlier 20% duty, a 34% levy Trump announced last week, and an additional 50% tariff the president imposed on China after it did not withdraw its counter tariff of 34% on American exports.

Other countries hit hard include Lesotho (50%), Cambodia (49%), Laos (48%), and Vietnam (46%). However, there are other countries, like South Korea, where Trump says he is in the process of making deals.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk slammed Trump’s trade adviser Peter Navarro and called him a “moron,” publicly splitting with the White House’s tariff policy.
