Republicans are close to winning control of the House of Representatives for the next Congress, following victories in the presidency and Senate.

The current count shows 213 Republicans and 203 Democrats in the House, with 19 races still undecided. Republicans need to win 5 of these races to secure a majority, while Democrats need 15.

Key wins for Republicans include flipping seats in Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. Strong voter turnout for president-elect Donald Trump helped secure a likely 53-seat Republican majority in the Senate.

However, it may take weeks to finalize House results due to millions of uncounted ballots, especially in California.

If Republicans win, they can advance Trump’s agenda on border security and extend his 2017 tax cuts, with House Speaker Mike Johnson expected to work closely with Trump to push these policies.
