YouTuber Jake Paul defeated Mike Tyson, the former heavyweight champion, by unanimous decision on Saturday in Arlington, Texas.
The judges scored the fight 80-72 and 79-73 in favor of Paul, who landed 78 of 278 punches.
The fight streamed live on Netflix and saw criticism from viewers, but their frustration was not with the boxers.
Netflix’s highly anticipated debut in streaming major sports events was marred by technical difficulties. Thousands of viewers encountered issues like video streaming quality, glitches, stuttering, and even crashes before and during the main event. Tracking website downdetector.com saw reports of problems with Netflix climb to more than 88,000 around 9:30 p.m. local time. The Tyson-Paul fight began a little after 11 p.m.
