Amtrak served 24.1 million riders—18% more than a year earlier—since the start of its fiscal year in October

Train travel is picking up in the US, according to Amtrak numbers as of June and is on track to break its annual ridership record this year, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Since the start of its fiscal year in October, the railroad has served 24.1 million riders—18 % more than a year earlier.

Not only Amtrak
Private railroad Brightline in Florida increased its revenue threefold last year as Americans find rail more reliable than flying, given the number of stranded flyers at the airport.
