Eager spectators are gearing up to witness a rare celestial event on Monday, which will be visible over Mexico, the US and Canada. Millions will be traveling to the path of totality to witness the moon cover the sun. Here is what to expect.
Purkinje effect
People will witness unusual visual effects during the April 8 total solar eclipse.
Due to changes in light intensity as the moon obstructs the sun, colors with longer wavelengths, such as red, may appear darker, while shorter wavelengths, like blue to green, may become more pronounced.
So, wear red and green colors to have some extra fun at the viewing party.
