Record-breaking rainfall hit several states, with Tupelo, Mississippi, receiving a record-breaking 5.12 inches in one day.
Wildfires scorched thousands of acres in Oklahoma and Texas, forcing evacuations. The National Weather Service warned of continued severe weather, including blizzard conditions in the Northern Plains.
