Thousands of firefighters in California are trying to contain 11 major wildfires in the state and have made some progress, per a fire report published Sunday.

More than 8,300 firefighters are trying to douse these fires, including the Mosquito and Fairview ones that continue to threaten communities, structures, infrastructure and wildlife, Cal Fire said.

The Mosquito Fire, which has consumed 41,443 acres is 10% contained, while the Fairview Fire that’s consumed 28,307 acres is 45% contained, the department said. However, firefighters are gearing up to face more potential wildfires due to critical fire weather.

So far this year, 325,083 acres have burned in California and the potential risk of fire weather includes thunderstorms in Lake Tahoe Basin and lightning in Northern California, per the fire summary.
