A recent HSBC report found that 59% of the world’s wealthiest entrepreneurs plan to move or have already moved assets abroad in the next year, with Singapore being the top destination, followed by Switzerland and the UK.

The 2025 Global Entrepreneurial Wealth Report surveyed 2,939 business owners across 15 markets, including the US, UK, China, India, Singapore, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

In China, 38% of entrepreneurs plan to reduce their property exposure, marking a sharp reversal from their past reliance on real estate.

Capital flows between the US and China have plummeted
Only 6% of Chinese business owners plan to move assets to the US, and just 1% of American entrepreneurs intend to invest in China.

Globally, optimism is high, with 90% expecting wealth growth and 62% citing AI as their biggest driver.

Wealth mobility is also strong, with 56% of the entrepreneurs already living in more than one location, and 57% considering adding new residences.
