Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs received a sentence of a little over four years yesterday after being convicted in July on prostitution-related charges involving his two ex-girlfriends.

Combs’s lawyers were pushing for a 14-month sentence, equal to the time he has already served in a New York prison, but prosecutors were pushing for 11 years.

The current verdict is much shorter than the possible life sentence he was facing before being acquitted of more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering.

One of Combs’s lawyers announced plans to appeal, telling ABC News the judge had overstepped by acting as a “13th juror.”
