President Volodymyr Zelensky’s note comes on the heels of the Trump administration suspending military aid to Ukraine|@ZelenskyyUa|X

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is open to a partial ceasefire if Russia agrees to the same terms and even suggested the possibility of releasing prisoners.

He noted that a truce could ban long-range missile attacks on civilian and energy infrastructure.

Zelensky also mentioned that Ukraine is ready to sign a mineral rights deal with the US, which faced hurdles after heated exchanges between him and President Donald Trump last week.

His statement comes on the heels of the Trump administration’s suspended military aid to Ukraine, citing Zelensky was not ready for peace negotiations.

During his address to Congress on Tuesday night, Trump appreciated Zelensky’s stance in urging for peace talks.
