Georgia’s abortion ban overturned

Georgia Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney Tuesday overturned the state’s law banning abortions as early as six weeks of pregnancy.

Judge McBurney called the law, “plainly unconstitutional when drafted, voted upon, and enacted.” He further pointed out that it violated pregnant people’s liberty and privacy rights under the Georgia constitution.
