Hurricane Beryl strengthened to Category 5 yesterday evening when it made landfall on the Caribbean island. It is only the second named storm of the storm season, but it has become the first-ever category 4 and 5 hurricane on record in the month of June.

The forecast predicts the storm is expected to pass near Jamaica on Wednesday.
